My First goes to 1st!

So my number 1 is off to 1st grade. She is excited to be in school and likes her teacher. She had also enjoyed catching up with friends from her kindergarten class. Kaylee told her teacher that her goal this year was to learn to read well. On a worksheet that we turned into her teacher Kaylee listed the following:

Favorite TV Show: Curious George (which totally suprised me--she and Parker have been really into Avatar lately)
Favorite Song: You Belong to Me (Taylor Swift)
Favorite Sport: Swimming
Favorite Food: Shells (Shells and White Cheddar)
(there were more but I can't remember)

Kaylee was a little disappointed the first day when she reported that all (except maybe one) of the other kids had listed soccer as their favorite sport and that now they were going to play soccer at school.

Kaylee is not much of a morning girl so catching the bus at 8:15 is not really her cup of tea, but so far so good!

On a last note--just in time for her 1st grade debut, Kaylee has been sporting this cute toothless grin for about a month now. Her first upper tooth was just waiting for her to sneeze to come flying out. Eventually, after loosening it up a bit more on the bottom of the pool in a handstand gone a little crazy, she let Dan pull it. The next one followed suit 2 days later.

Parker doesn't start Kindergarten for another week and a half--so more 1st's to follow.
